2011 marks the 18th year since the Hartford Hillel Foundation was
established as an independent Hillel foundation (as determined by our
IRS determination letter). We recognize that it does not mark the beginning of Hillel at the University of Hartford and celebrate that Jewish life
and Hillel existed at the University of Hartford prior to 1993. We hope
that the celebration of the Hartford Hillel Foundation's Chai
Anniversary will be an opportunity for all of the University of
Hartford's Jewish alumni to come together and celebrate their
experiences with each other, regardless of whether they were students before or after the establishment of the Foundation.
